Youth Sunday School

"Our objective for the youth Sunday school at SCAC is to provide a clear Biblical knowledge for the youth of the church. This foundational knowledge serves to progress the students in their own deeper life. Within the Christian community, the student's spiritual growth is nurtured and stimulated to become an active member of the community at large."
We offer Sunday school classes for all teens in the age groups from Grade 7 up to OAC (Grades 12/13). Class times are 9:30 to 10:30 AM every Sunday.
Average class sizes range from about 7-15 students per teacher. Some classes have a full-time teacher as well as an assistant teacher. This excellent student to teacher ratio helps the teacher to build deep relationships with the individual students to help them understand, confirm and participate in the Christian faith within the context of the community.
The dedicated teachers attend workshops / conferences as well as use many reference materials to help enrich the student's spiritual knowledge and growth.
We are constantly striving to improve, and we are currently working to revise the current curriculum and present our draft proposal for the revised curriculum with some background information.

Each course should include the three areas of focus in order to help each student to develop his/her faith in accordance with our mission statement:
a) Bible
b) Human experience
c) Peoples' relationship with God / people / environment
